Modified Seat Belt Mounting Bolt 

Reason for doing  

The never ending twisting of the standard seat belt is reason good enough to do this upgrade! 

Tools Required 

1. The only tool that is required is a 17 mm spanner.

Procedure

1. Go to nearest scrap-yard and get hold of  2 seat belt bolts, together with the small black plastic cappings. The bolts should be of standard dimension 7/16” UNF. Cars like the Ford Fiesta have suitable bolts and the bolts are easily accessible.
2. Go to a competent machine shop and ask them to make the 2 new mounting bolts according to the drawings shown.
3. Paint new mounting bolts with Hammerite, or similar.
4. Remove old bolts and fix the new mounting bolt as shown.

TAKE NOTE: 

1. The mounting bolt design has been checked and verified against ECE Regulation no. 14 concerning belt anchorage.
2. Any inferior material, reduced dimensions or improper fixing can be a safety hazard !
